The mission of the BuCu West Development Association is to create a destination that promotes and supports entrepreneurs, small business, cultural organizations and residents in an authentic, energetic and colorful environment.

José Esparza
Executive Director
Jose’s work in the community is holistic and ultimately aimed at bringing together people of different backgrounds, fostering relationships and helping the owners and residents of the Morrison Road Corridor to recognize a common interest in the prosperity of Westwood.

Julie Casault
Director of Operations and Outreach
Julie works with the community building engagement and facilitating projects for the continued development of the Morrison Road Corridor. She is focused on improving the Westwood neighborhood’s quality of life. Julie helps by providing support through event planning and community outreach while coordinating design and management of the streetscape.
Where Business Meets Culture
Established in 1987, BuCu West began as a business owner association. Today, BuCu West’s efforts extend to include promoting and supporting entrepreneurs, small business, cultural organizations and residents. BuCu West’s unique name reflects the organization’s commitment to Business and Culture. BuCu West is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization governed by a board of directors and led by staff members Jose Esparza and Julie Casault.
